PVT (Harbin) Coating Co.,Ltd. was established in 2004 by PVT Plasma und Vakuum Technik GmbH (in short: PVT GmbH) from Germany. PVT Harbin is the most advanced PVD coating center in the Northeast of China with all equipment, such as cleaning line, pre- and post treatment, test and measuring equipment all from Europe. All coating equipment was delivered by PVT GmbH.


PVT GmbH is a leader in the field of ion- and plasma-assisted vacuum coating technologies. It designs, develops and manufactures PVD vacuum coating equipment and develops coating processes and coatings.

PVT’s world headquarter is located in Bensheim, just about 50 km south of Frankfurt, Germany. PVT GmbH is running all its Chinese operations out of PVT Beijing, its Chinese headquarter.

PVT GmbH started PVT Harbin as its first coating center in China. By now additional 5 coating centers followed in Dongguan, Changzhou, Wenling, Linyi and Chongqing. All the centers work with the most advanced equipment from Europe and provide efficient and high quality coating service for all their customers.

PVT’s coatings are widely used in the cutting tool industry for dies & molds, in the aircraft industry, for medical and automotive applications.

Such coatings are among others TiN, TiCN, CrN, AlTiN, AlCrN, TiSiN, AlTiSiN, AlCrTiSiN as nano-structured single or mulilyers. Their main functions are wear resistance, erosion resistance, corrosion resistance and reduction of coefficient of friction.

All such coatings with typical coating thicknesses from 1 – 5 µm, sometimes even significantly thicker, can improve the lifetime of the tools and components many times.
