PVT, with a history as long as that of PVD hard‑coating technology itself, is one of the pioneers in this field. In 2015, on its thirtieth anniversary, PVT looked back on three decades of achievements in hard‑coating. From the very beginning, the company’s core business has been the design and manufacture of vacuum coating equipment, the development of PVD coating processes, and the research and development of functional films for applications requiring wear resistance, corrosion resistance, and lubricity.
PVT has consistently maintained a strong presence across a wide range of markets, spanning geographically from North America to Asia and encompassing diverse industries such as tooling, mold-making, and aerospace. Marking its 30th anniversary, PVT is proud to announce the sale of its largest ultra‑hard coating system for cutting tools, capable of handling workpieces weighing up to 3,000 kilograms. The order was signed just days ago, with the equipment scheduled to enter production in mid‑2016.
